Children Of God Orphanage(COGO) is a non-profit charity primarily set up by volunteers who have lived in Ghana and supported orphans in their fight for survival. Our aim is to provide innocent children who are victims of poverty with opportunities to succeed. This enables them to unlock their potential, both physically and mentally.
Our team has worked with a variety of orphanages throughout Ghana. Currently, the prime focus is to support fight cholera outbreak among orphans in Ghana. Such orphans have either lost their parents in a battle for survival through food and water, poor health, or they simply could not financially care for their child. We often have no idea where the parents are or who left the child.
The projects are financed as a result of successful fundraisers and generous contributions. Our team is supported by volunteers that work for free by raising awareness.
Supporting orphans in Ghana is our primary objective and 100% of your donations truly go directly to the children -- which is confirmed through visits and ongoing communication.
Our success as an Organization is proven through our core projects: Water Sanitation, Health Care, School Funding, Food and Shelter.
Children Of God Orphanage is to support and empower hundreds of orphans and vulnerable children in Ghana to lead successful and productive lives. Challenges
Inadequate funding. The need for the expansion of some of the facilities in the home. Over aged vehicle which is putting a drain on the home's resources due to regular maintenance. Meanwhile personnel of the Home despite the challenges continue to do thier best in providing the needed care throughout the various developmental stages of the children's life in a friendly environment.
